About CCA

The CancerClimber Association (CCA) is a unique, not-for-profit organization dedicated to motivating those touched by cancer by encouraging patients to inspire each other. Created through Sean Swarner's vision of summiting Everest and inspiring people across all boundaries, the CCA challenges and facilitates cancer survivors to climb their own Everest, thus overcoming their own limitations and mental boundaries. The CCA is a foundation based on passion, optimism, and the principle that anything is possible. The name "CancerClimber" has a dual meaning: it signifies patients "climbing" out of their existing condition through a change in attitude toward a more passionate, happier outlook on life as well as symbolizing the founder and his goals for inspiration.

CancerClimber instills excitement into the lives of cancer patients and survivors. Through the Association, events, and a unique personal touch, our goal is to help those affected by cancer obtain a higher quality of life, a more positive outlook, and to begin living life to the fullest. Sean aspires to spark hope into the patients' and survivors' lives by sharing a life lived passionately.

CancerClimber will fund the Sean Swarner Scholarship to support college tuition for students interested in pursuing a career in oncology and psycho-oncology. As well, the CCA will support survivors and their dreams to inspire patients through their personal goals and challenges. Among other events, we are organizing a mobile camp visiting 24 cities around the country brining patients into a camp-like setting, challenging their limitations and providing them with encouraging tools to battle the disease positively and with optimism.
